NEGROPONTE & ONE LAPTOP PER CHILD

More than 1 billion children in the emerging world don't have access to education.
Nicholas Negroponte, co-founder of the MIT MEDIA LAB, started the One Lap-Top Per Child non-profit in 2000 to change that.
Negroponte says:
"in Peru, we have found that as many as 50 percent of the kids, many in remote villages, are teaching their parents how to read and write."
